i have stridently avoided watch those series, but got sucked in a couple times with the pre-season retrospectives; then i was watching the soup and joel had a great insight; all their post-event conversations are ONLY a rehashing of describing what JUST happened in the previous scene; no insight, no analysis, just straight description. i think most of us, when discussing the mundanities of every day life, usually add some measure of insight or gained wisdom or even half-baked joint analysis of the event or people’s motives… right? if not, i am going to start wearing make up and going to brunch until someone pays me $75,000 per 30 minute unit of time.

Reality TV only works when there’s a) competition or b) people have sex (that you can’t see because its on network television or basic cable).
So reality tv based around the lives of people….
wait, is this a reality tv show or one of those WB-ish teen-o-rama dramas?
I stopped watching TV when the writer’s strike started. And didn’t watch before that. Too busy “doing things”.

I admit it, I’m in my 40’s and I watch The Hills. TV has not seen a better villain in Spencer Pratt since Larry Hagman was JR Ewing.
I pretty much watch the show to hate him, always hoping that this episode will be the one where a random stranger who can’t separate reality from fiction will cap Spencer for being a total tool.
Also Whitney is an Amazon and I’m a short guy so……..
