Way to go, Japan! Your Fanta commercials are much better than ours – and no creepy color-coded ladies!

I must not understand the school system over there but those kids look super old for third grade. But like everything else about Fanta the commercial is totes better than it’s US counterpart!

to Evan:
Third grade in Japan (or in Asia) is equivalent of 9th grade (Junior High) or 12th grade (High School).
We graduate from Elementary School after 6th grade.
Junior High lasts for 3 years (7th – 9th grade)
High School lasts for another 3 years (10th – 12th grade)
So when ppl are asking, “What grade are you?” you might answer, “I’m still in third grade of junior high / high school.”

I think I like the creepy, color-coded ladies more.

Japan has loads of color-coded ladies… Sailor Moon, for example.

Unlike the US Fanta commercials (“Wanna fanta! Doncha wanna, wanna Fanta?”), this Fanta commercial does not. It’s not the color-coding I have a problem with, it’s the overall creepiness.
