Everything good was a little ragged and weird. It's a shame there's no weirder stuff out there today, although there almost definitely is and we just haven't met 2nd generation Jared Kappel to show it to us. Still, I can't listen to a new Foo Fighters single without thinking its been genetically engineered to appeal to everybody in a rock station demographic. They have mastered mediocrity, somehow, and its kind of setting the standard. Their songs take zero chances. Boo to that. I agree, the early 90’s were a pretty fantastic time for rock. The best part is hearing the DJ's voice on the fade-in or fade-out, then the little *zip* of me hitting the stop button.
