I don’t handle sickness well.

I have been sick since last Thursday. I have also been inside my own apartment since then. I have gone mad.

The isolation was a problem, as was the sickness. What made it all worse was 4 straight days of Americas Next Top Model. Every season, back to back. I fell into a deep drugged sleep to Tyra, I woke up in a feverish sweat to Tyra, it was to Tyra I turned when I feared I might die and get eaten by my cat. Tyra Tyra TYRA!! I needed to take a break from all the forehead and crazy-eyes, so I looked around at what else was on TV, and I actually CHANGED THE CHANNEL SO I COULD WATCH THE TYRA BANKS SHOW.

This is when I should have recognized that the madness had taken hold. But no, I thought I had a handle on it, so I kept it up - right into and through cycle 9 - the Bangs cycle. Did anyone notice that they gave EVERYONE bangs last season? Including Tyra? By the time the final episode ended I was standing in front of my bathroom mirror, staring at a sink full of hair and a face full of truly ugly bangs. I was like a child taking a hammer to the radio to see the talking Flintsones bird inside. I’m like on TV! But I’m going to be in trouble & barrettes for the next couple of months.

Finally I decided I had to get out of my house, sick or not! So I went to band practice and hit myself in the face with a door. Right in the face. But at least now I have ugly bangs to cover the nasty bump on my forehead. Sickness 2 - Eliza 0.

This morning, a friend mentioned I might have mono. Then I spoke to a doctor who mentioned that my friend might be on to something. So it looks like I have about a month of this left to go. 2008 is off to a great start!

I am accepting DVDs and prayers for fast hair growth.

So… you’re actually going to see a doctor in person, right?

You don’t need DVDs or a love for the game of football to get addicted to Friday Night Lights. http://www.nbc.com/Friday_Night_Lights/video/episodes.shtml

As terrifying a reminder as that is from you, Morgan, I am feeling much better now. Unless I wake up re-sickified, I’m going to skip it.

Not even a month in and I am sick, my computer broke, my assistant left me and my BF is MIA.
I cannot wait to find out how else 2008 is totally going to rock!
    Hang in there chika!

Sometimes when I see Tyra attempt musical improv (ie: Chris Brown and Vanessa Hudgens) I think of you…and how she might benefit from a class!

    GOD LOVE TYRA!!

    Hello,
Just a pleasant note to say that I stumbled across your
    “drunk bar chick” monologue…very nice.
It made me think, then it made me think dirty.

    Thanks.
